The management of SMD Global Energy Services regards the promotion of occupational health and safety, and the protection of its working environment, as a measure of paramount importance and a mutual objective for management and employees at all levels.
It is therefore the company's policy to do all that is reasonable to protect personnel from injury, prevent damage to property, avoid pollution to the environment, and protect everyone from unforeseeable work hazards in so far as they come into contact with company activities.
To achieve this, every employee has a duty to co-operate in the operation of this policy by adhering to the following standards:
- Working safely and efficiently, using the protective equipment provided and complying with all relevant safety regulations.
- Reporting injuries and potential hazards that may lead to injury or damage.
- Adhering to the company's procedures and regulations for securing a safe work place.
- Assisting in the investigation of accidents, with the objective of introducing measures to prevent re-occurrence.
